“Sky, Sun and Partnership”, a Mongolian and Japanese calligraphy exhibition celebrating the 40th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and Japan, opens at Blue Moon Art Gallery on August 20th. An opening ceremony for the exhibition will be attended by over 40 delegates of the Mongolia-Japan Parliamentary Friendship Group.
The Mongolian and Japanese calligraphy exhibition features work by political and social figures of the two countries, including President Ts.Elbegdorj, Prime Minister N.Altankhuyag, Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, Minister of Culture, Sport and Tourism of Mongolia Ts.Oyungerel, Foreign Affairs Minister L.Bold, Japan’s Foreign Affairs Minister Kishida Fumo, Chairman of the Mongolia-Japan Friendship Group at Japan’s House of Councilors Hayashi Moto, former Japanese Prime Minister Toshihiki Kaifu, and other officials.
The exhibition is comprised of over 80 calligraphy works and will feature words, sentence and poems with deep ideas on a wide range of bilateral relations, friendship and symbols of peace between the two countries. These messages will be shared through beautiful calligraphy and ink drawings.
The exhibition is being organized by the Mongolian Modern Calligraphers Association in collaboration with the Japan-Mongolia Parliamentary group, Embassy of Mongolia to Japan, Embassy of Japan to Mongolia, and the Mongolian Academy of Culture and Poetry.
“Sky, Sun and Partnership” will be on display in Japan in November.
