The Government of Mongolia issued Resolution 61 in 2014, to celebrate the historic 75th anniversary of the Khalkh Gol Battle victory.
The Defense Ministry and Ulaanbaatar City Government held a press conference to present information about the celebration of the historic anniversary.
The celebration was launched nationwide last May. On the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the Khalkh Gol Battle victory, the 100th anniversary of the births of Khalkh Gol Battle heroes, L.Dandar, Ts.Olzvoi, L.Gelegbaatar, and B.Dorj were commemorated in their birth places and monuments were erected for them.
A “Combative Friendship Path” tour and meeting was organized in collaboration with the Military Districts of Buryatia, Irkutsk, and Baikal Region. Organizers of the celebration say there will also be an essay writing contest on the theme of the Historic Khalkh Gol Battle victory for students.
There is also a campaign to restore historic statues and monuments dedicated to the Khalkh Gol Battle victory and the heroes who devoted their lives to the victory launched in the city.
The Government of Mongolia also issued a resolution to compensate Khalkh Gol Battle veterans with two million MNT.
The celebration of the Khalkh Gol Battle victory will convene in Ulaanbaatar, on August 23rd said the Press and Public Relations Office of the Ulaanbaatar City Government.
