Kyakhta Border Service rewarded with Mongolian Order of Military Glory

In accordance with a presidential decree, the Head of the Office of the President of Mongolia, P.Tsagaan, bestowed the Kyakhta Border Service of Federal Guard Service with the Mongolian Order of Military Glory in the Republic of Buryatia, on August 8th.

P.Tsagaan, Head of the General Authority for Border Protection Brigadier General Sh.Lkhachinjav and other government officials received a warm welcome in Buryatia from the Mayor-General and Chief of the Border Guard Service of Russia’s Federal Security Service in Buryatia, I.V.Bondarev, Advisor to the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Russia to Mongolia I.N.Arjaev, Consul General  from Russia to Darkhan in Mongolia A.Ts.Dorjiev, and official representative of the Border Guard Service of Russia’s Federal Security Service in Buryatia to Mongolia Colonel G.V.Solenkov.

The Head of the Office of the President of Mongolia, P.Tsagaan, said when he bestowed the Mongolian Order of Military Glory to the Kyagkhta Border Service:

“Dear Vyacheslav Nagovotsyn, the Head of the Republic of Buryatia, border guards and soldiers, fellows, ladies and gentlemen, we have gathered here to bestow the Kyakhta Border Service with the Mongolian Order of Military Glory accordance with a decree issued by President of Mongolia and the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Ts.Elbegdorj.

"Congratulations to you, border guards, on the occasion of this celebration. This prestigious honor represents border guards and Russia's Armed Forces competent performances in border protection and collaboration."

In return, the Head of the Republic of Buryatia, Vyacheslav Nagovotsyn, replied, “This honor is a historically significant event, not only to our border guards, but also to bilateral relations between our two countries. This is the first time that the Kyakhta Border Service has been rewarded such a great honor from a foreign country.”

After the ceremony, officials answered questions from reporters. During the meeting with reporters, P.Tsagaan said that he hopes a number of significant issues capable of taking bilateral relations between Mongolia and Russia to new level will be solved during the scheduled visit by Russian President V.Putin to Mongolia in September.
