The state owned “Mongol Post” LLC has released a set of special stamp featuring Tyrannosaurus bataar. Official First Day of Issue was held at Central Museum of Dinosaurs on July 24th. A set of postage stamp issued by Mongol post was dedicated to 70-million-year-old Tyrannosaurus bataar. Nearly complete Tyrannosaurus bataar skeleton was returned to Mongolia following the high-profile prosecution of a Florida paleontologist by federal authorities in New York after it was sold at a Manhattan auction last spring for $1.05 million. The First Day Cover of the set and stamp cover was created by artist Ch.Bat-Erdene and graphic design was made by J.Gankhuyag.
