On Thursday June 26th citizens held a press conference at the press center of Zuunii Medee announcing that they will hold a demonstration against the law on land.  The citizens made an appeal to conduct a public poll on new amendments into the law on land Mongolia.

The government recalled the amendment bill due to public reaction. But the government wants to review the bill in order to submit it again.

One citizen who is protesting the bill to make amendments into the law on land, L.Bayarsaikhan, claims that the bill is apparently a cover, and the bill is designed to be beneficial to only a few people and entities allowing them to own land illegally.

Therefore the citizens are to hold a demonstration against the bill between 5.00 pm and 7.00 pm on June 27th demanding a public poll be conducted on the issue.
