Speaker of the State Great Khural, Mongolia’s parliament, Z. Enkhbold, hopes to sign an agreement on visa-free regime with Russia in August.

The agreement abolishing visa regime between Russia and Mongolia might e signed as early as this August, Chairman of the State Great Hural, the Mongolian Parliament, Z.Enkhbold said Monday.

"In August we expect President Putin to visit Mongolia for the celebrations of the 70th anniversary of the victory in the Battle of Khalkhin Gol. So I think it [the agreement] will be signed during his visit," Z.Enkhbold said. Visa regime between Russia and Mongolia was introduced in 1995 on the Mongolian initiative. Cancellation of the visa regime has been discussed by the heads of states for a few years. According to Z.Enkhbold, visa free regime will attract more investors and tourists to Mongolia.
