President received Russian Federation Councils chairwoman

President Ts.Elbegdorj welcomed the Chairwoman of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation, ValentinaIvanovnaMatviyenko, who is making an official visit to Mongolia upon the invitation of Speaker Z.Enkhbold on Monday June 23^rd.

At the beginning of the meeting, the Chairwoman of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation, MrsValentinaIvanovnaMatviyenko expressed appreciation about the successful start of her visit and delivered the Russian President’s warm greetings to President Ts.Elbegdorj.

The President of Russia noted that Mongolia and Russia held high level talks during the Asian Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures, held in Shanghai last May, in his greetings and added that the constants visits give a new drive to strengthen bilateral relations.

The Chairwoman of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation emphasized that bilateral relations between the two countries are encouraging mutually beneficial, wide ranging development. Then MrsValentinaIvanovnaMatviyenko stressed that joint ventures are working efficiently and deals on economic cooperation until 2015 have been successfully implemented.

At the meeting, the matter of travel without a visa to Russia for Mongolian travelers, the development of small and medium joint enterprises and the holding of a business forum were discussed.

In near future, celebrations for historic events between the two countries will be held.

In August 2014, the 75^th anniversary of the victory of theKhalkhGolbattle, and in May 2015 the 70^th anniversary of the victory in the Great Patriotic War will be celebrated.

President Ts.Elbegdorj invited his counterpart, Russia`s President V.Putin to the celebration of victory of the KhalkhGol battle. At the meeting, President Ts.Elbegdorj also talked about holding the Mongolia-Russia-China high level dialogue first in Ulaanbaatar.

At the end of the meeting with the Chairwoman of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation, Ts.Elbegdorj sent his warm greetings to Russia`s President V.Putin.
