For the upcoming 375th anniversary of Ulaanbaatar city, the Ulaanbaatar City Governor`s Office and General Planning Department of Mongolia along with art organizations plan to hold an Ulaanbaatar Sculpture Festival for the first time in Mongolia.
The organizers aim to encourage artists` creativity, to improve comfort in the city and develop different types of sculptures in the city.
The festival welcomes art organizations, freelancer artisits, amateurs and art students to participate.
Participants can use any material they like to build the sculture. There is no limit for discovering ideas and subjects.
The sculptures of participants will be received at the Department of Furnishing, Manufacturing, and Services, Governor’s Office at the Khangarid Palace until June 23rd 2014.
During the Festival the best 30 sculpture works will be selected for the final competition.
The winner of the festival will be named on June 24th and the best work will be placed at the National Garden Park between July 5th and 14th.
