The International Ulaanbaatar Marathon was successfully held by the State Authority for Physical Culture and Sports – Implementing Agency of Capital City of Governor on June 7^th.

Over 16,400 runners participated in amateur and professional athlete classes for different age and gender groups. Runners started at Chinggis Khaan Square at 9.00 am and finished near the Mongolian State Academic Theatre of Opera and Ballet. State Merit Athlete B.Ser-Od won the professional marathon, finishing 42 km in 2 hours, 18 minutes and 40 seconds.

Disabled athlete, families and amateurs participated in a 1500 m race.

Teenagers up to age 17 and the elderly aged over 50 participated in a 4000 m race.

Runners aged between 36-49 years were able to participate in a 5000 m race.

Runners between 18-35 years participated in an 8000 m race citizens.

Professional runners could compete in the half marathon, 21 km 975 m or the full marathon, 42 km 195 m.
