On Tuesday June 3rd President Ts.Elbegdorj received Secretary General Nikolai Patrushev from the Russian Federation Security Council, who is on official visit to Mongolia. At the meeting President Ts.Elbegdorj and Security Council Secretary General Nikolai Patrushev talked over the further development of bilateral strategic partnership relations and strengthening the national security of both countries. They also exchanged views on international and regional issues.

This year there are celebrations of multiple events for both countries, for example the 75th anniversary of victory of the Khalkh Gol battle. President Ts.Elbegdorj and Nikolai Patrushev spoke about the two countries joint celebrations.

Further, President Ts.Elbegdorj restated that he and Russia`s President V.Putin discussed holding a Mongolia-Russia-China three-party meeting on transit transport in Ulaanbaatar during the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia (CICA) in Shanghai.
