Mongolian national airline, Eznis Airways LLC, has announced that the domestic service provider is stopping its operation from May 22nd for an uncertain period. The company is blaming financial failure caused by the current economic decline for its halt of operation. Thus the Management Board of the company issued the statement announcing the halt of operations for an uncertain period. In the statement, it said that: “We thank everyone who chose our airline, our regular passengers, our partners and our suppliers, for cooperation and support.

“The management of the company and the shareholders have done everything during the last two years to survive, to keep the positions of our employees and most importantly, to serve the public, but they cannot subsidize the financial losses any longer.  We bring our apologies to all of our customers, passengers, employees, engineers, flight operation staff and the crew.”

The company also pledges the return of funds for sold tickets to customers and redundancy pay for its employees.

Eznis Airways LLC, where about 200 staff have been employed, has been operating since 2006.
