
This year marks the 20th anniversary of Mongolia-France cooperation in geophysics.
At the meeting, representatives exchanged opinions on future extension cooperation of sciences and technology.
The President of Mongolian Academy of Sciences, B.Enkhtuvshin emphasized in his speech for the guests “In past two decades France`s Environmental Assessment and Monitoring Department played a big role in Seismology study in Mongolia. Young Mongolian fellows have been sent to France on ambassador`s scholarship. Mongolian, French scientists and engineers are collaborating to provide steady operation installing global network of monitoring stations to monitor nuclear tests.”
French ambassador to Mongolia Yves Delaunay says “Out two countries aplenty experiences collaborating on science and technology since early times.
In the past years, bilateral collaboration in geophysics has given equivalent results. Here I want address that Mongolia`s geophysical development has reached international level. ”
