The Protected Areas Administration Department has decided to administer protection to the Uvs Lake Basin in Uvs province.

In the scope of the action a cooperation agreement was signed between the Provincial Environment Department, the Police Department and the Local Emergency Management Department, the Intelligence Department, the Institute of Meteorology, Hydrology and Environment, the Protection Administration for Uvs Lake and Tes River basins and the Border troop divisions in Uvs province.

Parties will cooperate in order to put into effect environmental protection law, law on protected areas and law on environmental zone to improve protection and prevention efforts in the protected areas.
