World health day is celebrated globally today on April 7th.
The First World Health Assembly in 1948, was a call for a World Health Day to
mark the anniversary of the founding of the World Health Organization. This has
been held on April 7 every year since 1950. The day is used to draw attention
to particular priorities in global health.

Study says one in every four suffers lack of physical
activity, one in every three drink alcohol, one in every two smokes in
Mongolia.

And 11,1 g salt used in food by a Mongolian is twice higher
than other national. All those factors play significant role for
non-communicable diseases spread,

According to a study by Public Health Institute Mongolia
(PHIM) one in every three suffers
from some form of cardiovascular disease
, one in every five suffers
diabetes and cancer and number of people get injuries.

Mongolia is placed to the 153rd place due to its
average life expectancy. Men can expect to live 65 years while women are
expected 75 years in Mongolia. Men`s death 24.3 percent and women`s death 8.3
percent is caused by the preventive disease. Therefore every clinic in Mongolia
will be supposed to have men`s health cabinet.

Preventive disease includes blood pressure, diabetes, and
cancer.  Blood pressure is one of the
leading death causes among the population in Mongolia.

Minister for Health Mongolia made a call to improve public
health education in particular about the blood pressure to prevent a blood
stroke at home.

There are 4459 people diagnosed with liver cancer in
Mongolia. Only in 2013 1976 people were diagnosed newly and 1510 people died
from it.

Nationwide liver cancer screening examination will be
conducted this year.
