Celebrating the 40th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and Germany, the “Mongolian Steppe Warriors – Nomadic Horsemen Heritage” exhibition will be held at the National Museum of Mongolia in Ulaanbaatar. A member of the Institute of Archaeology of the Mongolian Academy of Sciences, Director of the National Museum of Mongolia, I.Budbayar, announced the exhibition during a press conference on Tuesday.
The “Mongolian Steppe Warriors – Nomadic Horsemen Heritage” exhibition will be displayed for the public at the National Museum of Mongolia between April 8th and June 8th for two months.

In the exhibition over 160 priceless archeological finds including ancient Turk warriors` metal stirrups, wooden saddles, saddle girths, felt hats and silk deels belonging to the Kitan Empire will be displayed.
These archeological finds were discovered by archeologists of the Institute of Archaeology, Mongolian Academy of Sciences between 2005 and 2010. They were analyzed and restored in the Landes museum in Bonn and fortified in Offenbach in Germany for three years before being returned to home to Mongolia on January 25th.
