
Mongolian representatives at the meeting were chaired by the Director of the Department of Policy Planning and Research from the Foreign Ministry, Ts.Batbayar, and the Korean Side was represented by the Director-General for Cultural Affairs, Kim Dong-Ki.
At the consultative meeting, parties exchanged views on how to boost public diplomacy between the two countries, upgrade mutual understanding between the people of the two countries, and how to cooperate and promote on history, culture and tradition.
Mongolian representatives emphasized the media’s role in the promotion of mutual understanding between people and sharing updated information about the countries and expressed willingness to increase the number of media representative exchanges reciprocally.
The South Korean Foreign Affairs Ministry proposed its plans to hold a number of events for the public in Mongolia, particularly aimed at young people in Mongolia via the Embassy of South Korea in Mongolia. They asked for support from the Foreign Affairs Ministry of Mongolia for these events.
Both parties agreed to cooperate on these matters and decided to hold further consultative meetings consequently.
