On Tuesday March 25th a minor earthquake shook southwest Mongolia 40 km away from Tonkhil sum in Govi-Altai aimag early in the morning. The 3.5 magnitude earthquake occurred at latitude 46.13, longitude 93.47 according to the Research Center for Astronomy and Geophysics, Academy of Sciences of Mongolia.

A 3.9 magnitude earthquake in the same area, around 6.20 pm on March 8th, was also registered by the Research Center for Astronomy and Geophysics, Academy of Sciences of Mongolia.
