On the closing day of the Sochi 2014 Winter Paralympics in Sochi, Russia, Mongolian athlete B.Ganbold competed in the 10 km freestyle race in the men’s LW 2-9 (standing) cross-country skiing and took 31st place on March 16th.

Russian athlete Aleksandr Pronkov, just 16 years old, won gold with a time of 23:59.9, followed by Vladimir Kononov with 24:00.7 and Vladislav Lekomtsev in the 10 km freestyle race in men’s cross-country skiing.

Mongolian athlete B.Ganbold finished the race with a time of 30:26.7, 6:26.8 after the winner.

The only Mongolian athlete in Sochi 2014 Winter Paralympics in Sochi, B.Ganbold competed in three cross-country skiing events. Athlete B.Ganbold finished standing in 14th place with the time of 1:04:01 in the men`s cross-country skiing 20 km classic on March 10th, and finished in 25th place with a time of 4:25.65 in the Short Track Men”s 1000 m on March 12th.
