
In the opening speech for the event, Foreign Minister L.Bold emphasized that “Mongolian-Thailand diplomatic relations and cooperation have widened in various fields in the past 40 years and mutual high level visits were successfully conducted. Moreover, opportunities to boost cooperation on mining, tourism and culture have been found.” The Foreign Minister also noted that Thailand”s Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra`s first official visit to Mongolia was historically valuable to engage the people of the two countries, taking new steps for bilateral cooperation and to strengthen mutual good relations.
The Ambassador of Thailand, Wiboon Khusakul noted that Her Royal Highness Princess of the Kingdom of Thailand, Maha Chakri Sirindhorn`s two visits to Mongolia contributed to prominent efforts to grow bilateral relations and cooperation between Mongolia and Thailand and expressed gratitude to Mongolia for the increase in partnership relations of international and regional organizations.
