The Ministry of Culture, Sport and Tourism held a grand farewell ceremony for the nation”s Paralympics team and presented the State flag of Mongolia and the team clothing to athletes on Friday February 28th. The national Paralympics team of Mongolia will head to the 2014 Winter Paralympics, officially known as the 11th Paralympics Winter Games to be held from 7th to 16th March 2014 in Sochi, Russia.

The national Paralympics team consists of the Vice President of Mongolian Paralympics Committee D.Surenkhorloo, team coach J.Dashdondog, technical coach N.Sandagdorj, athlete B.Ganbold and media representative MNB reporter D.Batjargal.

Mongolian Paralympics athlete B.Ganbold will compete in LW6 sport class of the Men`s Cross-Country Skiing. B.Ganbold will run in the men”s short track 1000 m on March 10th, the men`s 10 km classic on March 12th, and 20 km race on March 16th.

At the 11th Paralympics Winter Games 1600 athletes from 47 countries will compete in five sporting event for 72 sets of medals.
