The Mongolian Fencing Association has begun efforts to open new fencing clubs in the countryside conducting national fencing competition and contests with the aim to participate at the Asian Fencing Championships.
For the project Khangarid fencing sports club was opened with a ceremony in Orkhon aimag this Friday.
At the opening ceremony of the club a contest for the highest ranking eight athletes was held. Coaches and trainers of the Khangarid fencing sports club were trained at a special course at the Mongolian Fencing Association.
The National fencing team plan to participate at Asian Junior & Cadet Fencing Championships and the World Championships in Fencing this year. The Asian Junior & Cadet Championships will be held in Amman, Jordan on 7th to 16th March. The World Junior & Cadet Championships will be held in Plovdiv, Bulgaria on 3rd to 12th April.
