With the policy of maintaining diplomatic ties with all UN state countries, Mongolia established diplomatic relations with the Republic of Equatorial Guinea on February 20th in New York.

The two countries agreed to maintain diplomatic ties with the ambition to strengthen bilateral friendly relations and cooperation abiding by the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations, principles and in the framework of the UN rule of law activities.

The establishment of diplomatic ties between Mongolia and the Republic of Equatorial Guinea was signed by the Permanent Representative of Mongolia to the United Nations, Od Och and Permanent Representative of Ecuador to the United Nations Anatolio Ndong Mba.

Parties expressed that establishing diplomatic relations between Mongolia and the Republic of Equatorial Guinea opens more opportunities to cooperate and support each other in the framework of national organizations of both countries and international institutes.
