The coal investors’ conference and exhibition “Coal Mongolia-2014” is being held in Ulaanbaatar this Thursday and Friday 20th and 21st February. This is the fourth conference and exhibition for coal investors organized jointly by the Ministry of Mining, Mining United Fund, the Mineral Resources Authority and Erdenes MGL state owned company.

This coal investors’ conference and exhibition will discuss the current development of the coal sector, future perspectives, investment issues on coal exploration, exploitation and processing projects, the legal environment, infrastructure and the latest technology. Over 30 key speakers will deliver speeches at the conference.

The topics for discussion at the conference include coal industries development strategies, Mongolia’s competitiveness in the coal sector, project finance, value-added industrial products, shale oil extraction, investment projects for coking and thermal coal and how to increase capability for technology and competitiveness. There will also be an open discussion between state and private enterprises.

Over 1000 participants are expected to be present at the coal investors’ conference and exhibition where 55 mining suppliers will display their workshops.
