The State National Song And Dance Academic Ensemble of Mongolia performed the ballet “Legend of the Great Queens of Mongolia” telling the saga of the nine queens of Mongol Empire in dance in December 2013. From Goo Maral and Alungoo to Oulen, Burte, Durgunu, Sorkhagtani, Chimbai, Samar and of course Mandukhai, they all played significant roles in history.

The ballet “Legend of the Great Queens of Mongolia” was greatly applauded by audiences from its first performance. Therefore the State National Song And Dance Academic Ensemble of Mongolia have decided to stage the ballet again on February 21st, 22nd, 23rd and 28th and March 1st, 2nd and 3rd.

The ballet “Legend of Great Queens of Mongolia” is unique by telling of, in the language of dance, the history of the great Queens of the Mongol Empire who are remembered in history for their great merits fighting for independence and sovereignty.

The Ballet is considered a national masterpiece that Mongolians can be proud of by relaying a great history not only of Mongolia but also across the world wide.

The libretto, or composition, of the ballet was written by N.Bold and directed by D.Bayarbaayar. The musical composition was written by M.Birvaa and composed by State Honored composer B.Munkhbold.

“Legend of the Great Queens of Mongolia” will be guided by conductor of the State National Song And Dance Academic Ensemble, N.Buyanbaatar.
