Between January 23rd and 28th the Second International Piano Competition “Frederik Chopin and Mongolia in the 21st century” will be take place. The competition is being held with the support of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Polish Embassy in Ulaanbaatar, the Mongolian State University of Culture and Arts and the National Academic Theatre of Opera and Ballet of Mongolia.

Pianists from China, South Korea and Russia will compete in the festival. The judge’s panel consists of the distinguished Polish pianist, Ewa Pobłocka, director of Shanghai Conservatory of Music, Zhe Tang and director of the Conservatory in Irkutsk Russian, Honored artist A.S.Durbajeva. A Polish pianist and Ewa Pobłocka will play music by Frederik Chopin during the opening ceremony for the festival.

The Competition is open to pianist of all nationalities who accept the rules and conditions of the competition according its official Facebook page.
