The Mongolian Biathlon Association has announced a series of weekend competitions in collaboration with “Sky Resort” ski resort from January 25th to March 2nd.

The leading 16 athletes of the Mongolian Biathlon Association will compete in four teams for the competitions. The weekend competition will begin with an opening ceremony on Saturday 25th January. The competition will continue after a weeklong break during the Mongolian traditional holiday, Tsagaan Sar.

Biathlon is a sporting event involving the two disciplines of cross-country skiing and rifle shooting. Mongolian biathlon athletes first entered the 1964 Winter Olympics that was held in Innsbruck, Austria.

In 2014, Mongolian biathlon athletes have chosen to mark the historic event of 50 years of competition by organizing this series of events.
