
The local re-election for the Citizens” Representative Khural was carried in four sums and an administrative unit as a results of controversy from the Local Administrative Elections in 2012.
Representatives of the Democratic party (DP), Mongolian People`s Party (MPP) and Mongolian People”s Revolutionary Party (MPRP) ran for 17 seats in the re-election for the Citizens Representative Khural in Khukhmorit, Tugrug, Bayan-Uul and Sharga sums and Yesunbulag and Bayanshand administrative units in Govi-Altai province. The official results of the re-election are expected to release today, Monday January 20th.
According to preliminary unofficial results the Democratic Party is likely to be the winner of the re-elections. For the past 20 years The Mongolian People’s Party was the only winner in both parliamentary and local administrative elections.
