Bus drivers and conductors of Bus-1 company went on sudden strike  in the morning of January 8th.  The employees of the company were also on strike a year ago. The employees of the company stated that they decided to take action against the multiple unfair, illegal activities of company Bus-1. The employees on the strike oppose the company taking deductions from their salary for fuel surcharges, giving no raise, they oppose to numerous deduction without reason and that their salary is not given on time.

Bus drivers and conductors commented that the company once did a deduction of 400,000 MNT from an employee`s salary without any clear reason, stating that;

“this is clear evidence of illegal activities. The company re-paints the buses but fails to give the salary in time. Bus-1 company authorities do not evaluate employees works fairly. Company authorities find ways and means when the employees raise the issue instead of solving the problem.”

Due to the strike at Bus-1 company, the Capital City Governor and Ulaanbaatar Mayor E.Bat-Uul and officials from the Public Transport Office are under negotiation with the Bus-1 company authorities. Employees on strike state that they will not get back to work until the issues are solved.

Bus-1 company provides public transport services in the routes around Chingeltei, Sharhad, Uildver and Doloon buudal and Bayankhoshuu.
