The Ministry of Education, Culture and Science has granted 14 children from the “Gerelt ireedui” Children`s Center with certificates granting them a year of tuition fee to study at national universities, on Tuesday January 7th.

The Children`s Center “Gerelt ireedui” was found by a women from Must sum in Khovd province in 2004 to house 24 orphan children. She decided to help them when she found out there was no one who cared about these orphan children, even their relatives.

She felt the children`s pain as she found herself an orphan with her nine younger brothers and sisters when her parents died in 2000, so felt compelled to help these orphans. When the children of the center received the certificate for a year’s tuition fee from the Minister of Education, Culture and Science, L.Gantumur, the founder of the Children`s Center, B.Uranchimeg, said;

“We went through difficult times during the past years. There were times when we were discouraged or fell. But now I have forgotten that hard time as I see my children are blessed by the state. We will keep ahead with the support of well-wishers.”

Over the past few years over 110 children have been raised at this Children`s Center.
