Amendments into the Law on Mongolian Social Security for People with Disabilities were passed on February 7th, 2013, becoming effective on January 1st, 2014. According to the amendments, any child with a disability will receive medical or rehabilitation treatment at a national spring spa without having to be entered on a waiting list. The state will also provide 70 percent compensation for rehabilitation and spring spa treatment.

Services and standards of the rehabilitation center will be formulated jointly by the state administrative central organization on health, education and social welfare and passed by the central organization for standardization.

Due to the amendments into the Mongolian Social Security Law for People with Disabilities, changes have been made into five laws including the Law on Primary and Secondary Education, the Law on Preschool Education, the Law on Education, the Health Law and Laws on Social Welfare all which became effective om January 1st, 2014.
