A website designed to help trace family trees, “Urgiin Bichig”, is effective from January 1st, 2014 giving many opportunities to the community to create family trees. The site promotes the significance of tracing your family history to today’s generation and providing links to Mongolia`s traditional customs, etiquette, taboos and more. For a year www.urgiinbichig.mn website has connected over 20,000 online customers giving them information on how to trace their family history since the software was launched last year.

This first Mongolian software package for genealogy is designed to trace your family history where it begins and look into it further with more introductions to help find more family and young generation more easily. The software developers believe that this software will benefit anyone who wants to make a family tree to trace their ancestors` history, to preserve the family roots and help in the implementation of population policy of the state.
