
In 2014 vocational training centers have targeted to provide 6600 trained personnel. All 100 percent of the trained personnel who finish vocational training programs are expected to be provided with employment. The State Secretary of the Labor Ministry, P.Gantulga, has announced the stipend worth 35,000 MNT that is granted every month to vocational students will be doubled to 70,000 MNT. The decision will be effective from January 2014.
At the moment a survey to discover how many trained and qualified personnel are needed in the national labor market is being conducted among employers.
There is no limit on the age of students and anyone who wants to study at vocational training is allowed to registered. Previously the vocational training program was carried out by the Ministry of Labor in association with national leading companies but from this year the Ministry will run the program alone.
According to report by the Ministry of Labor, nationwide there are a total of 78 vocational training centers running courses, 33.3 percent of which are State owned and the other 66.7 percent are private.
