
The inaugural games for athletes with an intellectual disability will be held in Newcastle, Australia, from 1st to 7th December and will feature more than 2500 athletes from 32 countries.
The Mongolian team includes two brave young athletes, U.Ninjbadam and B.Elberelt. They will be competing in the 25m freestyle swimming event. Mongolia”s Special Olympics athletes have vowed to be brave in their attempt to win gold at the Special Olympics Asia Pacific Games.
Athletes from countries including Australia, Mongolia, Pakistan, India, China, Korea, Myanmar and Nepal will compete in various divisions of sport from aquatics to football.
Athletes from Mongolia will be participating today in the Aquatics divisional races with the Special Olympics Athlete oath: “Let me win, but if I cannot win, let me be brave in the attempt.””
