The President of Mongolia, Ts.Elbegdorj, who is currently on a state visit to Hong Kong, attended the Mongolia-Hong Kong business meeting on November 28th.

The Consul General of Mongolia in Hong Kong organized the business meeting along with the Hong Kong Trade Development Council.

Following speeches by the Chairman of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, Jack So Chak Kwong, President Ts.Elbegdorj emphasized Mongolian economy and investment sectors in his speech.

The President stressed that Mongolia has created a good environment with changes through all sectors such the legislative, judiciary and executive system for foreign investment. He called on Hong Kong and other businessmen to take advantage by expanding business in Mongolia. The President continued appealing to Mongolian businessmen who accompanied him to Hong Kong to contact new partners for cooperation.

At the end of the Mongolia-Hong Kong business meeting, President Elbegdorj attended a signing ceremony for an memorandum of understanding (MoU) on bilateral trade, economy and investment between Mongolian and Hong Kong.

A cooperation memorandum on bilateral cooperation of the National Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the two countries was signed by M.Oyunchimeg, Vice Chairperson of the Mongolian National Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Benjamin Chau, the Deputy Executive Director of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council.

A cooperation memorandum on invest in Mongolia was also signed by the Director of Invest Mongolia Agency S.Javkhlanbaatar and the Director-General of Investment Promotion, Invest Hong Kong, Simon Galpin.
