The Ulaanbaatar City Governor`s Office conducted a survey on the issue whether or not to stop the traffic restrictions of vehicles, using license plate number endings, among citizens across six districts in Ulaanbaatar via SMS between 8:00 am and 10:00 pm on November 27th.

The survey questioning whether or not to annul the traffic restrictions in Ulaanbaatar City were delivered to 123,460 men and 78,934 women subscribers of Mobicom and Unitel telephone operators.  As a result 46,957 subscribers replied to the SMS and 70.7 percent of them answered in favor of the restrictions.

Ulaanbaatar City Inquiry and Information center received polls from 1821 callers on a 12-00 special number and  54.4 percent approved the traffic restriction.

As results from the SMS and call survey emerged, a total of 70.1 percent of citizens of Ulaanbaatar City vote in favor of continuing the traffic restriction in winter time.
