A meeting of Women Parliamentarians of Northeast Asian Countries will be organized, on November 24th and 25th in Ulaanbaatar, on the initiative of female parliamentarians of the Mongolian Parliament, under the theme of “Female parliamentarians to push forward peace and prosperity through education”.

During the meeting the realization of UN resolution (А/RES/67/18) Education for Democracy approved by UN General Assembly in 2012 will be discussed.

The renewal of the process of the World Conference on Women, which was held last in 1995 in Beijing, is expected to be held in 2015 and will be discussed during the meeting of Women Parliamentarians of Northeast Asian Countries.

At the meeting of Women Parliamentarians in Ulaanbaatar, parliamentary representatives of Russia, China, North Korea and South Korea, the UN and its specialized organizations and agencies, and the Asia Foundation will be represented.
