Complaints by citizens to stop traffic restrictions in Ulaanbaatar based on registration plate number due to the encroaching winter season and the completion of road repairs and maintenance have piled up in the Capital City Governor`s Office.

The working group responsible for easing heavy traffic pressure in Ulaanbaatar City have therefore discussed whether to stop the traffic restrictions within the capital city for the winter period and carried out a public poll to gauge citizens opinions.

A number of online websites are participating to distribute the poll to the citizens of Ulaanbaatar. The Capital City Governor`s Office`s www.ulaanbaatar.mn and their Facebook page www.facebook.com/ub.gov and the Traffic Police site stop.mn,  facebook /Замын-Цагдаагийн-Газар/ and news.mn, gogo.mn, olloo.mn, medee.mn websites are also hosting the online polls under the question: “Do you defend the halt of traffic restrictions due to coming winter season?”. The poll went live from 9.00 am 13th November and will close at 9.00 am 15th November, 2013.

The City Information and Inquiry Center Ulaanbaatar hears you is collecting polls via SMS from 100,000 Mobicom subscribers during the polling days.
