Mongolia to host IBF Asia Championship Bout

Mongolia is to host the IBF Asia Championship Bout for the first time for professional boxing.

On November 9th, 14 fighters from four Asian countries including Mongolia, South Korea, the DPRK and China will compete in the IBF ASIA CHAMPIONSHIP BOUT at ASA circus in Ulaanbaatar. The fighters will compete in seven different weight categories.

Mongolia is also joining the International Boxing Federation (IBF) during a ceremony which will be held at the Royal House Hotel at 5:00 pm on Friday, November 8th.

The International Boxing Federation was first established September 1976 in the USA  under the name of the United States Boxing Association (USBA). In 1984 its changed its name to the International Boxing Federation.

IBF is one of the four large world professional boxing federations.

IBF aims to discover promising, talented fighters in the world professional boxing arena providing them the opportunity to display their talents and skills to the world.

Under the name of the International Boxing Federation numerous regional and international tournaments and championships are held.
