The State Championships for Junior Sumo Wrestlers, dedicated to the 69th Grand Champion of Japanese Professional Sumo, is being held at the Cultural Palace of the Mongolian Trade Union on October 26th and 27th.

This year the State Championships for Junior Sumo Wrestlers is being organized by the Hakuho Foundation and Ikh Shavi college with the slogan of “Healthy Mongolian Children”.

Competitors from secondary schools in Ulaanbaatar City and provinces will fight for gold, silver and bronze in three ages categories; 8-9, 10-11 and 12-14 years old.

In the final round 5 winners will be granted rights to compete in the international tournament Hakuho Cup that will be held in Tokyo, Japan in February 2014.
