A Morin khuur tower complex building over 300 meters high will soon be erected in Khan-Uul District, Ulaanbaatar. The horse-head-fiddle shaped building is scheduled to be built between 2013-2017 by the Morin khuur Tower LLC. The project was initiated by Cultural leading figure of Mongolia, artist D.Erdembileg who is well-known for designing the the Chinggis Khan Equestrian Statue in Tsonjinboldog and Buddhist God Maidar Complex which is to be built in Sergelen sum, Tuv Province.

The long throat song, khoomii and horse-head fiddle are unique cultural heritages passed down from generation to generation since long ago. The project developers intend to promote this unique cultural heritage and spiritual instrument to the world by building a 300 meter high complex.

Project developers believe that once the building is completed it will be an incomparable intellectual work with its all concepts of reflection, meaning and its historical and cultural focus.

The body of the tower will consist of 30 floors. Project developers have planned to include a ceremonial theme hall, museum of Mongolian State, great khans and president`s library, world museum, art gallery, genetic center for Mongolian nationalities, astronomy center, archeology and anthropology center, mongol ger museum and wedding hall.

Currently the project is in the final phase of preparation.

The President of Mongolia issued a decree to include the spiritual musical instrument into the state protection and appealed to Mongolians to esteem the instrument. The President also appreciated the project and said he would lend his support.
