
The Speaker`s visit to Turkey began on October 10th to show respect to the Atatürk Mausoleum, the first President and the founder of the Republic of Turkey.
Speaker Enkhbold saw the Anıtkabir (Memorial Tomb) of the leader of the Turkish War of Independence and left notes in the memorial book.
Later that day the Speaker had an individual meeting with his counterpart Jemil Chichek for talks on bilateral and parliamentary relations and cooperation between the two countries.
Extended negotiations by the Parliamentarians of the two countries was held where the Mongolian Speaker Z.Enkhbold and the Head of the Turkish Supreme National Assembly, Jemil Chichek led the discussion.
Speaker Z.Enkhbold emphasized the Parliamentary role in bilateral relations between Mongolia and Turkey as the two countries established political and social systems and parliamentary governance. He suggested to broaden bilateral traditional good relations between Mongolia and Turkey, strengthen the political and legal environment, stabilize relations between parliamentary friendship groups and secretariats and to keep the frequencies of reciprocal parliamentary visits.
The Head of the Turkish Supreme National Assembly, Jemil Chichek noted that the Parliament will focus on boosting cooperation between Mongolia and Turkey and expressed the wish to support the suggestion to enhance bilateral trade, economic and Parliamentary relations and cooperation.
Following the negotiations the Ambassador from Mongolia to Turkey, B.Batkhishig and Ambassador Shakir Fakili, Director General for Consular Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on behalf of Turkey signed an agreement on mutual exemption of visas between Mongolia and Turkey.
