The 7th “Giant Steppes of Jazz” Festival began with jazz artists at the “UB JAZZ” club on Tuesday October 2nd.

This year the Festival is being held in cooperation with the Mongolian National Commission for UNESCO, the Giant Steppes of Jazz NGO, the Arts and Culture Authority of Ulaanbaatar, the US Embassy, the Czech Embassy, the Mongolia-France Culture Center and the Goethe Institute between 1st and 10th October.

Jazz artists from the US, Germany, South Korea, the Czech Republic, Scotland will be presented. Special guests include the “Latino Jazz Bend”, “Voice and Toys”, “UB Jazz” and the Mongolian Military Song and Dance Ensemble.

As a part of the Giant Steppes of Jazz Festival, they will cooperate with the Vibraphone section of the Conservatory of Music and Dance in Ulaanbaatar, a Mongolian pianist who graduated from university in the Czech Republic and School No. 116 for visually impaired children for some musical events at Conservatory of Music and Dance, the Mongolian State University of Culture and Arts, the American school of Ulaanbaatar and some Children`s centers.
