Ulaanbaatar City is hosting the 38th World Women”s Draughts Championship between October 1st and 15th.
The leading 16 female draughts (checkers) players from 10 countries will compete for the World Women”s Draughts Championship 2013 that has been jointly organized by the World Draughts Federation (FMJD), the Mongolian Draughts Federation (MDF) and the Ministry of Culture, Sport and Tourism.
Winners of the World Championship Rapid, a 15 minute contest, and the World Championship Blitz, a 5 minute challenge, will be awarded during the first days of the Championships while the rounds will be conducted on October 4th to 15th.
The first days of the Championships will see 22 draughts players including 11 from Mongolia, 4 from Russia, 3 from the Ukraine, 2 from China and one each from the Netherlands and Poland competing for the title of the World Championships Rapid.
