Ulaanbaatar is to host the 16th annual NAMBC (North America-Mongolia Business Council) Investors Conference at the Kempinski Khan Palace Hotel on 24th to 26th September, 2013.

Dr. S.Oyun, Minister of the Environment and Ulaanbaatar City Mayor E. Bat-Uul will be the featured speakers at the NAMBC’s 16th Annual Investors Conference.  Dr. Oyun will be the lead speaker in the segment on “Green Development is Profitable Development” and Mayor/Governor E. Bat-Uul will kick off the segment on “Urbanization in Mongolia and the Transformation of Ulaanbaatar.” Other conference panels will address “The Future of Mining in Mongolia” and “Investment and the Mongolian Economy.” Keynote speeches will be made by the Ambassador of Canada, Gregory Goldhawk.

The agenda for the conference includes issues on the new draft amendment on the Strategic Investment Law and other legislative and policy developments affecting both foreign and domestic investors in all sectors, including mining. Speakers include cabinet ministers, top Mongolian business leaders, financial experts and executives of corporations with major investments in the country. The conference also celebrates the 40th anniversary of Mongolian-Canadian diplomatic relations. 

The NAMBC`s 16th Annual Investors Conference convenes just a few days before the State Great Khural (Parliament) opens for its fall session.
