For the official visit of the Belarusian Prime Minister Miasnikovich in Mongolia, the Foreign Minister for Mongolia L.Bold and Deputy Foreign Minister of Belarus V.Rybakov signed a visa waiver agreement on Thursday September 5th in Ulaanbaatar.

Mongolian nationals who hold an ordinary passport no longer need to apply for an invitation and all types of passport holders are allowed to travel to Belarus reciprocally without a visa for up to 90 days within one year.

The agreement will be effective in 30 days time after both parties validate the agreement through diplomatic channels.

Mongolia has signed agreements with a total of 16 countries to allow travel without a visa.
