Merchants and renters at Narantuul market are demanding the resignation of the City Mayor E.Bat-Uul during a press conference today on August 19th.

The merchants and renters of Narantuul market oppose a decision issued by the City Council to close Narantuul market for two days on 19th and 20th due to road repairs and maintenance work in the City. They claimed the closure negates the ability of vendors to take advantage of sales during the high season before the new school year. They have announced to hold a protest outside of the market.

The market closes every Tuesday so the closure announced by the City Council will only effect one day of business.

The repairs and maintenance work have been planned for the road to Narantuul market from Darkhan Minj intersection in 14th khoroo in Bayanzurkh district and the main entrance will be moved to the north side of the market.
