New draft amendments to the law on the preservation and protection of historical and cultural properties are expected to be submitted to Parliament.

Related experts are concerned that the current law on the preservation and protection of historical and cultural properties is not good enough to protect precious cultural heritage.
The new draft amendments to the law on the preservation and protection of historical and cultural properties consist of 13 articles and 59 sections. The amendments also include a newly determined definition of the terms of law, articles placement for preservation and protection of heritage based on its classification.

The new amendment also includes a clause to circulate cultural heritage in the market, encourage the production of souvenirs and merchandise based on cultural heritage.

 Experts hope the responsibility and control will be tightened with the help of the new amendments.
