
Soviet musician, songwriter, and leader of the band Kino, Viktor Robertovich Tsoi, is to be remembered by his fans in Mongolia. Mongolian producer and composer G.Gang will host a live performance dedicated to Viktor Tsoi at “Street 13” pub at 8:00 pm today August 16th. Singers and live music bands are expected to appear at the performance to sing songs by Viktor Tsoi.
Viktor Tsoi is regarded as one of the pioneers of Russian rock and has many devoted fans across the countries of the former Soviet Union even today. Few musicians in the history of Russian music have been more popular or have had more impact on the genre as Viktor Tsoi and his rock band Kino. Tsoi also contributed a plethora of musical and artistic works including ten albums.
Viktor Tsoi died in a car accident on August 15th, 1990, aged 28. The day is marked to remember him in the biggest cities in Russia and in the former Soviet Union every year.
One example of the events surround this day is a memorial wall dedicated to Viktor Tsoi that has been erected today in Kiev Ukraine.
Today prominent Ukrainian musicians, singers, athletes, models and movie stars and even some politicians will sing Viktor Tsoi`s songs to remember him while fans and audiences gather to seal memories and poems about him on the memorial wall in Kiev.
