Mongolians win 25 medals at the World University Games

The Mongolian team currently holds a total of 25 medals including three gold, six silver and 16 bronze medals from the World University Games – 27th Summer Universiade which is being held in Kazan Russia.

The Mongolian team is ranked in at 19th place in the World University Games – 27th Summer Universiade where athletes from 52 countries are competing.

Mongolian BJJ athlete B.Sugarjargal who competed in the men`s freestyle +100 kg category of the Beltwrestling competition brought the first gold medal to Mongolia.

Kh.Enkhdelger won a gold medal in the men`s 52 kg category in Boxing. Kh.Enkhdelger is a young and promising boxer who joined the National team after winning the Boxing State Champion in 2013.

A female Mongolia wrestler, World Champion, bronze medalist of the London Olympic Games, S.Battsetseg, brought home the third gold medal from the World University Games – 27th Summer Universiade.

Mongolian athletes have this year brough home outstanding results and have improved on their previous success. Mongolian male wrestler brothers Z.Oidov and Z.Duvchin won gold in the Sochi-77 Universiade. Duvchin`s student, S.Battsetseg also improved on her master`s success.
