The Buryat style archery tournament held for the National celebration Naadam finishes today on July 9th.

An archer from Bayandum sum of Dornod, O.Sukhbaatar shot 63 out of 64 arrows setting a new record for the tournament while an archer from Yeruu sum of Selenge aimag, B.Batbaatar came in second with a score of 56 arrows. Z.Nyamsuren followed with 55 shots, then E.Ganchuluun and R.Gankhuyag with 52 shots.

The winner of the Buryat style archery tournament, O.Sukhbaatar also won the previous year`s tournament with 59 shots. Now this archer from Dornod is a new record holder for the Buryat style archery tournament.

O.Sukhbaatar was granted the International Master title at Altargana festival in Russia last year with 64 arrows for 64 targets.

Dornod aimag is a place that produces outstanding Mongolian archers. The winner for Buryat style archery tournament for Naadam, O.Sukhbaatar`s family is a family of archers. His wife and two children shoot well. But his children stayed in their home province to master their skill for the local Naadam tournament in Dornod aimag.
